In recent EastEnders scenes, Martin Fowler (James Bye) experienced full awe when adoptive daughter Lily Slater (Lillia Turner) delivered birth.
In a recent episode, Lily gave birth at home and the ominous Theo Hawthorne (William Ellis) confessed to stalking Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner).
When Stacey entered the kitchen to obtain towels for Lily’s delivery, she was terrified to see an enraged Theo who had allowed himself into her home.
Fortunately, Martin and Eve Unwin (Heather Peace) were on the way and the group was able to get Theo out of the home in time for Lily to deliver the baby.
Martin was shocked to see Lily, a 13-year-old, giving birth as they raced into the living room, and he was delighted to comply when she told him to go.
He sobbed as his emotions overcame him in the corridor, where Eve was keeping him company.
He pointed out, “She’s merely a baby birthing a baby,” with much emotion.

Eve made an effort to calm him despite it being obvious that the sound of Lily in agony distressed him.
When baby Charli was arrived and Martin was ushered in to greet his granddaughter, that was quickly forgotten.
The family were pleased with their new arrival, however Stacey remarked her surprise that Lily was able to give birth to a child given that she can’t even cook toast.
Will it all be plain sailing, though, with the shadow of the evil Theo still looming over them?
