In the upcoming months, Whitney Dean (Shona McGarty) will go from EastEnders, and her exit plot may have just been revealed.
Zack Hudson (James Farrar) was eager to try for a baby again after learning that his viral load was no longer detectable, something Whitney could not put herself through.
She added that pregnancy was something she couldn’t put her body through again after her prior miscarriage and their heartbreaking loss of daughter Peach.
She was willing to consider other choices, though, which Zack promptly rejected.
They were left in an awkward situation, unsure of how to proceed from here and what it would imply for their relationship.
Their loved ones provided counsel as both sides were obviously distraught, and soon Zack had consented to Whitney’s idea that they consider fostering.
In following scenes, Whitney will speak with the fostering service, who will make it clear that she and Zack will need to have their own apartment in order to qualify.
Whitney and Zack now share a home with Chelsea Fox (Zaraah Abrahams) and Felix Baker (Matthew Morrison), but this arrangement will need to alter if they’re committed to carrying out their intentions to foster children.
Chelsea is disappointed to hear that they are leaving when Whitney tells her about the new development.
She soon has a different choice, though, when Ravi Gulati (Aaron Thiara), her lover, asks her to move in. This sets up some stressful situations between the pair and anxious Denise Fox (Diane Parish).
Could Whitney be planning to leave Albert Square now that Shona McGarty has announced that she would be quitting her job on EastEnders?
Does this imply that Zack will accompany her?
Shona previously said to Inside Soap that leaving the program wasn’t an easy choice because she had made so many friends. Whitney has been one of the more persistent personalities over the course of the folks I’ve seen come and depart.
“I’ve done so many tales, some of which have been delicate, and I’ve had so much pleasure doing them. It’s been an honor to be trusted with such serious material year after year.”
I’ll be sorry to say goodbye to my family and friends, but I made the proper choice since I want to pursue other interests. I’ve had a very decent run after 15 years!”
