Wouldn’t it be fantastic if The Six showed up to an awards ceremony dressed in their characteristic colors? This is something we have been pondering ever since the legendary EastEnders flash forward episode saw six Walford Women huddled around a dead body.
But surely it would never happen? They would never divulge so much information to further a plot, right?
Wrong.
Before their appearance at the National Television Awards this evening (September 5), EastEnders teased fans with their largest whodunit plot in recent memory, sending fans into a whirlwind rather than a spin.
Allow us to clarify if you’re wondering why so many folks are scribbling in capital letters over some of the cast photos tonight.
Fans were directed to a tweet in February that showed a Christmas 2023 flashback in which The Six—as they have come to be known—were huddled around a dead body.
Cufflinks were the sole clue as to who the corpse belonged to, but we’ll discuss those in more detail later.

The Six—Kathleen Beale (Gillian Taylforth), Denise Fox (Diane Parish), Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner), Suki Panesar (Balvinder Sopal), and Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean)—were all dressed in vibrant hues, which some fans have come to believe will be crucial to solving the mystery.
Fans were astounded tonight when Kellie, Gillian, Lacey, Diane, Balvinder, and Letitia all arrived to the NTAs wearing the distinctive colors of The Six.

Additionally, they took care to always stand in the same sequence as in their promotional photo.
Talk about dedication!
The amount of effort the program has put into keeping this narrative on viewers’ minds is absolutely absurd, but it doesn’t end there.
Recall the cufflinks we discussed earlier? Six celebrities in all have been sighted wearing them, so far.
At this point, six has to be our fortunate number.
Actors who play Ian Beale, Adam Woodyatt, and Shane Richie of Alfie Moon were the first to be photographed with them on. Richie put them up against his shirt.

The actor who portrays Phil Mitchell, Steve McFadden, who is seldom seen at award shows, came next.
The only other person in the real show who has the cufflinks is Scott Maslen’s character Jack Branning, although James Bye, who plays Martin Fowler, was also sporting them. So far.

Danny Walters, who portrays Keanu Taylor, was the last person to be seen with them.
Could this have eliminated suspects like Theo Hawthorne, Ravi Gulati, and Nish Panesar, who were previously suspected, off the list of murder victims?
Whatever happens, the cast and crew’s dedication to this narrative is incredible, and it is one that will undoubtedly be remembered for years to come.
