In addition to a scandalous affair being revealed, Coronation Street is preparing for another traumatic week for the people who live on the cobbles.
After arguing with Stu Carpenter (Bill Fellows) over her dad Dom, Eliza is left sad, but tragedy strikes when she is hit by a vehicle.
Eliza is being treated by physicians while Stu and Dom fight at the hospital. Eliza then discloses that she wants to move home with her father, shocking both men.
But when Eliza flees, things get even worse. Although she is nearby, a police officer stops by and asks some questions. As a result, things escalate and Stu is eventually hauled away in handcuffs.
Meanwhile, Amy Barlow (Elle Mulvaney) overhears Darren admit to Dev Alahan (Jimmi Harishkin) that he thinks Courtney (Stephanie Davis) is having an affair.
Amy sends the information to Aadi (Adam Hussain), who is then questioned about his “new girlfriend” by Courtney and Darren.
Aadi later follows Courtney outside to kiss her, but Dev, who has been stunned speechless by what he has witnessed, manages to catch them.
Paul Foreman (Peter Ash) receives a letter from a stranger on the street giving him an appointment with the palliative nurse. Billy Mayhew (Daniel Brocklebank) concerns that he is suppressing his emotions despite his attempts to make light of the situation.
Later that week, Paul informs Billy about Shelly’s con, but when he visits her apartment to halt it, he slips and falls, pleading for assistance, but no one is there.
These sequences will be shown on ITV1 and ITVX at 8 p.m. on Monday, September 11 through Friday, September 16.
