Danniella Westbrook allegedly no longer needs to make the payments that were previously required of her due to a legal loophole, despite being found guilty by a court for failing to pay for a tank of gas.
The 49-year-old ex-EastEnders actor was detained at the airport last month while visiting Ibiza because her passport gave airport security a red flag.
The warning referred to her earlier arrest in 2018 in Spain, where she was held by police for 14 hours before being charged with fraud for failing to pay for £39 of gas.
Driving to Benidorm to visit a friend, Danniella recalls not having enough money to pay for the gas she filled her car with.
The former Sam Mitchell actress gave the employee a copy of her passport and her driver’s license but failed to pay the next day because she “couldn’t recall where the petrol station was anyway.”
The 49-year-old was recently on vacation when the unresolved matter was brought up at passport check, leaving her worried that she would end up in jail.

Daniella was then informed of the judge who would be hearing her case and instructed to return to Spain to begin making payments under a plan. The actress had expressed anxiety that the debt she owed would have increased significantly in the five years after the incident had occurred.
However, according to a recent article in MailOnline, the EastEnders legend’s sentence has been “spent” as a result of a legal snag, and she won’t be required to make any payments.
The publication claimed that despite attempts, authorities were unable to officially inform Danniella about her punishment within a year of its issuance.

has requested a response from Danniella’s representatives.
The role of Sam Mitchell that Danniella played on EastEnders, firstly between 1990 and 2000, is her most well-known one.
When the character made a comeback in 2002 after being written out of the program, actor Kim Medcalf played the role. In 2009, Danniella would play the part once more as Sam made a triumphant reappearance.
In 2016, the actress would make one more cameo when Sam visited Walford to attend his mother Peggy’s burial.
Kim Medcalf, on the other hand, returned to the part last year. Although she is not currently on screen, her version of Sam is anticipated to make a comeback later in the year.
