As he works to help Lauren Bolton (Cait Fitton) get back on her feet in Coronation Street, beloved Roy Cropper (David Neilson) keeps his attention on helping other people.
Roy has a reputation for taking care of characters that are having problems. He has supported people like Becky (Katherine Kelly), Carla (Alison King), and Shona (Julia Goulding) over the years, striving to make a difference in their lives.
Roy most recently gave Lauren a place to stay after he found out she was planning to sleep on the streets.
After spending some time in Griff’s (Michael Condron) extremist group, Lauren made her way back to the cobbles a few months ago. Although Lauren has made an effort to stay on the right road, she has found it difficult to deal with her feelings after seeing her ex-boyfriend Max (Paddy Bever) spend time with Sabrina (Luana Santos).
Lauren informed Roy that she didn’t want the job at the café since living in Weatherfield with Max so close by was too uncomfortable after another awkward interaction with him.

In order to avoid Lauren from sleeping on the streets, Roy offered to let her spend the night in his apartment. Lauren misinterpreted Roy’s intentions and believed he wanted to have sex with her in return.
Coming up, David (Jack P Shepherd) advises Max to avoid Lauren as he begins his new work in the salon.
Roy is currently speaking with Lauren about calling social services, who can assist in finding Lauren a place to reside.
would Roy accept Lauren’s insistence that she would resolve her issues on her own?
Or will he keep thinking of new methods to assist?
