In recent EastEnders scenes, Lily Slater (Lillia Turner) was punished by her mother Stacey (Lacey Turner) for acting carelessly around Charli.
Lily, a 13-year-old, was adjusting to the prospect of becoming a new mother and adjusting to the changes it would bring about in her life.
Lily, who was eager to take on the role of Charli’s primary caregiver despite her initial concerns while still in the hospital, asked Stacey if she would go out and leave her and Charli alone themselves for a few hours.
Stacey was plainly appalled by the notion, especially since her dangerous stalker Theo Hawthorne (William Ellis) was still at large, but she started to warm up to it once Lily mentioned that she had been left alone with siblings Hope and Arthur.
Stacey made the decision to leave Lily and Charli alone for two hours in order to assist business partner Eve Unwin (Heather Peace) with the midday rush when Lily stated that she was concerned she wouldn’t be able to transition to Charli’s full-time caregiver if she kept interfering.
Lily was simply had to report to Stacey via text message every 15 minutes, and she was given the assurance that nothing unpleasant would happen because Jean (Gillian Wright) would be coming and going all day.
Unfortunately, things quickly spiraled out of control when Frankie Day’s character Ricky Mitchell stopped over and urged Lily to take Charli to the park to visit their friends, claiming that the infant would benefit from the fresh air.
Denzel Danes (Jaden Ladega) quickly had the idea as they were having a meeting with their pals to attempt and generate a viral video out of baby Charli in order to try and acquire free goods from businesses.

They intended to give Charli a crisp while recording her reaction; however, Jack Branning (Scott Maslen) stepped in and saved Charli’s life.
Fortunately, the adoring grandfather caught them on camera and immediately stopped it with a few sharp words.
He quickly marched a humiliated Ricky and Lily over to Stacey and made it known that he wasn’t pleased with the way things were going.
Jack yelled at Lily, and Stacey led Lily home when she became enraged and humiliated.
As soon as Eve received a call from social worker Naz asking to meet the following day, things for Stacey were only going to grow worse.
Will Lily and Stacey be able to work together to win over the social worker, or might Lily’s careless actions lead to her permanently losing Charli?
