Future Emmerdale episodes will include Victoria Sugden (Isabel Hodgins) making a careless error with serious repercussions, and Gabby Thomas (Rosie Bentham) making sure she is made to pay.
As viewers are aware, Gabby is currently eager to sell HOP because she is eager to leave Emmerdale as soon as possible.
Living in the village has grown intolerable for Sarah, despite the conveniences of Home Farm, as long as there is a potential of running into Nicky Milligan (Lewis Cope) or his father Caleb (William Ash).
The humiliation of learning that Nicky would not marry her because he is gay and had only been pretending to love her as part of his dad’s retribution against Kim Tate (Claire King) has prevented Gabby from moving on.
It feels like a slap in the face to Gabby every time she sees Nicky, who is now dating the Hide’s chef Suni Sharma (Brahmdeo Shannon Ramana).
She decided she wanted to sell everything and flee the country with her son Thomas. Kim has been disturbed by this, but the fact that Gabby hasn’t let Kim’s threats dissuade her from her intentions shows how resolute she is.
Gabby has been working to expand her empire and hosts a tasting event to highlight the new menu items that Suni and Victoria have created for the Hide in an effort to raise as much money as can for her enterprises in order to support her new lifestyle.
Things start to go badly wrong at that point when Jacob (Joe-Warren Plant) suffers a serious allergic reaction from eating a slider. Victoria had promised him that the product is nut-free, but this is untrue, and soon Jacob is battling for his life in the hospital.
Naturally, none of this is good news for possible purchasers of HOP, especially with Leyla Harding (Roxy Shahidi), Jacob’s mother, on the warpath and vowing all manner of retaliation against the company.
Gabby is humiliated when Victoria admits that what happened was an honest mistake, but her biggest worry is that she is losing customers for the company and that her ambition of moving abroad is fading in front of her.
Victoria is immediately fired by her, which leaves her feeling utterly alone and devastated by the way things have turned out.
