The ITV soap opera schedules for this week have some movement as football will now air at 8 p.m. on Friday, September 22, replacing Coronation Street in that time slot. From 7.30 p.m. on Friday, ITV1 will broadcast the UEFA Women’s Nations League match between England and Scotland.
You won’t miss any Corrie action, though, as Weatherfield will receive an additional visit on Tuesday, September 19. We will therefore receive the entire week’s episodes, just a little bit earlier, with the hour-long episodes airing as usual on Monday and Wednesday.
This will be welcome news to fans who are currently enthralled by the happenings in the renowned Street.
Billy (Daniel Brocklebank) is a little surprised by all the glitter and rainbows at Paul (Peter Ash) and Billy’s stag do, but Paul loves it.
Sadly, Paul’s joy is short-lived because Bernie (Jane Hazlegrove), who has been operating a scam by selling laptops that Shelly (Natalie Amber) has purchased, receives a visit from the police. The news that Shelly has passed away, however, is worse for Paul, and he makes a significant choice regarding his own future as a result.
Due to the fact that his relationship with Courtney (Stephanie Davis) is no longer a secret, Aadi (Adam Hussain) is also considering the future. What does a real future with Courtney entail? Dev (Jimmi Harkishin), who is considering the realities of life, asks his son to persuade his girlfriend to at least help pay the bills now that she is residing in his home, but she is strangely evasive. What is happening?
When a subscriber requests a live video and offers to pay extra, Ryan (Ryan Prescott) realizes he has gotten too involved with the online videos. Peter (Chris Gascoyne) and Carla (Alison King) soon catch wind of his online activities, and Daisy (Charlotte Jordan) decides she needs to confront Ryan about what’s going on.
When Stephen Reid (Todd Boyce) learns that a body has been discovered on Ed (Trevor Michael Georges) and Ronnie (Vinta Morgan)’s construction site, it may be the beginning of the end for him.
His worst fears are realized when Craig calls the Rovers to inform Jenny (Sally Ann Matthews) that the body is that of Leo Thompkins (Joe Frost), her ex-boyfriend and Stephen’s first victim. He learns from Ed that it was unquestionably a man’s body.
During Super Soap Week in October, Stephen is scheduled to depart in a very dramatic storyline, and Todd Boyce’s co-stars have already thrown him a farewell party.
Todd Boyce warned us that Stephen would have trouble keeping things together because the discovery of Leo’s body had him completely shaken.
He predicted that “we are going to see him start taking risks.” It will be interesting to see how he handles the pressure as his life starts to fall apart as he becomes more desperate.
He will inevitably start making mistakes, which could be his downfall.
