In this autumn’s episode of Hollyoaks, Yazz Maalik (Haiesha Mistry) experiences a distressing health scare and is rushed to the hospital by her distraught mother Misbah (Harvey Virdi).
The school receptionist and journalist has been having communication issues with her husband Tom Cunningham (Ellis Hollins) as a result of her ectopic pregnancy earlier this year, as viewers are aware.
Yazz admitted to Tom that she was unsure of how she felt about becoming a mother after learning she was expecting. Tom, on the other hand, was ecstatic, but the two were ultimately doomed.
A doctor informed Yazz that her pregnancy was ectopic and that she would not be able to conceive naturally after she collapsed in pain and was taken to the hospital.
Tom immediately suggested adoption, but Yazz wasn’t in the right frame of mind to act on it. Instead, she immersed herself in her work as the problems between her and her husband grew.
Carter Shepherd (David Ames), the school’s worried head teacher, advised Yazz to take some time off because he was concerned for her mental health. However, Yazz was devastated by this advice because she had been using her job as a crutch while going through a difficult time.
Despite Misbah’s prompt support and encouragement for her daughter to express herself, Yazz will ultimately face more upsetting situations because the latest Hollyoaks teaser indicates that she will be sent to the hospital.
Misbah urges her daughter to visit A&E because she is worried about her for an unspecified reason. Then, Yazz is heard complaining that her body “keeps failing” her.
Why was Yazz transported to the hospital, exactly? What exactly happened?
And can Misbah help her daughter through yet another horrible experience?
