This weekend, as Bobby Brazier makes his debut live appearance on Strictly Come Dancing, all eyes will be on the EastEnders actor.
Early betting odds had the young actor, best known for his portrayal of Freddie Slater on the Walford soap opera, as the winner of the BBC One ballroom competition. So, no pressure.
Since Bobby has been appearing on EastEnders for a year, he has gained a lot of admirers, as seen by his recent win at the National Television Awards.
If you’re not a lover of soap operas and need to catch up, don’t worry; this article will tell you all you need to know about him.
Bobby Brazier: Who is he?

In June 2003, Bobby was born in London. He is the son of late reality TV personality Jade Goody, widely known for her time on Big Brother, and TV host Jeff Brazier.
On his mother’s Sky Living reality series, Bobby and his younger brother Freddy made their first debuts on television.
Bobby and Freddy were raised by Jeff and spent their early years living in privacy after the untimely passing of Jade, who died of cervical cancer in March 2009 at the age of 27.
Bobby was discovered when he was 16 and signed as a model. During Milan Fashion Week in 2020, he made his professional debut. Thereafter, appearances at Paris Fashion Week and London Fashion Week occurred.

Bobby was given the role of Little Mo Slater’s kid Freddie in EastEnders in 2022. This character had previously been on television as a youngster between 2004 and 2006.
According to Chris Clenshaw, the executive producer of EastEnders, “We were conducting our typical casting procedure and we’re constantly searching for new talent.” I noticed on Bobby’s social media that we had already thought about Freddie and were developing his personality.
Some of what I observed in Bobby, in my opinion, would be ideal for Freddie. His vitality, sparkle, and spiritual side. After that, we called Bobby in to audition with a few other candidates, and his performance really astounded us. Freddie Slater is who he is.
The cheeky chappie Freddie has been a charming presence on the Square for the last year, making friends with Bobby Beale, engaging in wheeler-dealing with Alfie Moon, and developing a relationship with the Slater family.

August of this year saw the airing of Freddie’s largest soap opera plot to date, in which he discovered the truth about being born after Little Mo was sexually assaulted by his biological father, Graham Foster.
Following a fantastic first year as Freddie, Bobby was awarded the Rising Star honor at the National Television Awards last month.
What are the details of Bobby’s Strictly role?

As his professional partner on Strictly Come Dancing, Bobby will be Dianne Buswell.
The two will dance a foxtrot to McFly’s “All About You” in the first live performance.
I was always going to say yes [to Strictly], whether it was this year, last year, or the following year because I adore dancing,” Bobby said recently.
The ability to dance with a professional dancer and learn a new type of dancing every week is just my idea of a good time, regardless of whether it was shown on television or not.

Bobby’s response when asked about his toughest problem on the program was, “Well, I don’t know, but I can guess it’s going to be fairly exhausting. Probably really exhausting. I’m hoping I can simply keep being thankful and purposeful. But I do anticipate being worn out.
Bobby has affirmed that he will be putting EastEnders on hold to concentrate on Strictly.
Last month, he announced to the media: “I’m taking a sabbatical. I’ve recorded everything, but I’m not telling you. I’ll return.
