next Jay Brown’s repeated disappearances during the early hours of the morning on EastEnders the next week, Ben Mitchell (Max Bowden) gives him a piece of his mind.
As fans are aware, Lola Pearce (Danielle Harold) passed away earlier this year following a devastating fight with a brain tumor. Jay has been dealing with Lola’s passing.
However, the bereaved car lot salesperson is determined to be strong for Lexi (Isabella Brown) and everyone else around him, therefore he hasn’t been as forthcoming about his sadness as others.
He connected with Nadine (Jazzy Phoenix), an escort, earlier this month while out on a nighttime stroll after being moved by her likeness to his pet Lola.
Jay made it plain that he wasn’t ready to kiss Nadine, and instead, he spent the night lying next to her while they slept, which clearly made him think of Lola.
Jay has found it difficult to resist staying away from Nadine, and Ben has observed Jay’s nightly disappearances. The next week, Ben will criticize Jay for it.
While the two friends argue, Callum Highway (Tony Clay) finds himself in the midst, trying to feed the fires. Observing how much Jay is still hurting, Callum offers him a shoulder to weep on and lets him know he’s available if he wants to chat.
There should be a Callum in everyone’s life.
However, Jay is eager to convince Callum that everything is OK and that his late-night excursions are only an effort to catch up with old pals.
Callum agrees with his reasoning, but he later runs into Nadine who is attempting to pick him up.
The policeman, who is happily wed to his spouse Ben, thinks the entire situation to be very humorous, especially because Nadine doesn’t seem to mind that he is a detective.
But later that evening, when Callum sees Nadine with Jay, he becomes very concerned for his closest friend and his suspicions are aroused.
