An iconic EastEnders star is heading back to Albert Square, five years after quitting.
Jacqueline Jossa, who plays Lauren Branning, is set to make an explosive return to Walford, following a brief return last December for the funeral of Dot Cotton and a guest appearance in June for the comeback of Cindy Beale.
The 30-year-old I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! winner is due to stir up some trouble in her upcoming episodes, although details are being kept under wraps…
Speaking about her return, Jacqueline said: ‘I’m really excited. It’s such an amazing time to be back as there is so much buzz around EastEnders at the moment.
“I’ve been enjoying it like a fan,” you say.
“Walford holds a particular place in my heart, so it truly does feel like coming home,” she continued, according to The Sun on Sunday.

There is “a lot of history,” a TV insider remarked, teasing intriguing events to come.
Bosses are remaining quiet, though, to give fans the best possible experience.
The character has a lot of history and unfinished business; she will undoubtedly provide drama, according to a TV source.
Bosses are being coy about when viewers will see her return to television.

“But it’s set to be towards the end of the year and probably to correspond with the famed holiday storylines of the soap,” says the author.
According to the source, Jacqueline’s former castmates are eager to work with her since she is “such a pro” and has a “wonderful sense of humor.”
According to rumors, Jacqueline’s initial plot line after returning would include her life being entwined with Michelle Collins’ character Cindy, who has come back from the dead.
In a few weeks, the mother and fashion blogger will begin filming on the renowned set in Elstree, Herts.
Executive producer Chris Clenshaw expressed his “pleasure” at having helped bring her back to the Square.

The Sun quoted him as saying, “We just recently saw Lauren on-screen, but her return left lots of unfinished business between her and the Beales.”
We are happy to welcome Jacqueline back in the Square as she carries on the Branning family tradition of being at the center of the drama in Walford.
Jacqueline, who is married to former Towie actor Dan Osborne, started EastEnders in 2010 at the age of just 17.
She has definitely had her share of dramatic events over the years, such as tumbling from a roof with her sister Abi on Christmas Day, when her sister tragically passed away.

After leaving the popular serial in 2018, Jacqueline won the title of Queen of the Jungle the following year and then signed a $1 million contract with fast fashion behemoth In The Style.
Ella, 8, and Mia, 5, are their children, and she has been married to Dan, 32, for six years.
