Chloe Harris (Jessie Elland) of Emmerdale and Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins), whom Mackenzie Boyd (Lawrence Robb) has so far been unable to properly choose between, will be forced into a choice by fate in the cruellest way.
Just a few weeks prior, Mack and Charity were making love on the floor of the backroom.
In the present, he is engaged to Chloe and preparing to move to Scotland. But despite what he tells himself, his relationship with Charity is going to come back to bite him in the greatest manner.
When Chloe overhears Mack and Charity chatting about their sex session in public, the proverb “loose lips cost lives” is never more accurate. The young mother, who has been fighting her anxieties, snaps when she hears this.
Her psychopathic side will come to the fore as she tries to digest the betrayal. According to actor Lawrence Robb, she will “go from insane to being pretty relaxed.”
In addition, Chloe is “extremely crushed” since overhearing their talk validates what she had been most afraid of, according to Jessie Elland, who plays Chloe.
She is “devastated, enraged, and deceived; she is completely unable to think clearly,” and “we truly see this shell of “everything being wonderful” start to crumble in her.” Yikes.
So, utterly unaware of Chloe’s internal anguish, Mack is eagerly getting ready for their reconnaissance trip to Scotland.
She is planning what to do with this information, but she gains hope after a chance encounter with Tracy Metcalfe (Amy Walsh), who mentioned that she had forgiven Nate Robinson (Jurell Carter) for his infidelity.
But that does not absolve Charity of responsibility.
Later, when Chloe sees Mackenzie make up with Charity by kissing her on the forehead, her assurance that he still loves her is fleeting.
Without disclosing what she knows, Chloe challenges them, and they both ignore her.
She takes the wheel as Mackenzie and Chloe go off on the road. When Chloe discovers a fantastic chance, she has no strategy and only wants to get retribution.
Chloe offers Charity a ride after they discover her broken down by the side of the road. Everyone in the vehicle is nervous, but nobody knows what Chloe is thinking.
In an effort to leave the two traitors someplace they would have a very long walk home from, she purposefully misses their turning and moves in the direction of the moors.
A car crashes into them just as Charity begins to worry and Mackenzie begins to worry for their safety.
When Mackenzie regains consciousness, he realizes how precariously their vehicle is perched on the edge of a precipice.
He is terrified but manages to slowly get away as the car rocks and creeks beneath him, threatening to crash at any moment. When Charity arrives, she freezes in fright, and Chloe soon follows.
Mackenzie must intervene to save them. As he attempts to lead them to safety, catastrophe strikes as Chloe bumps the steering wheel.
Mackenzie must choose who to save first while the automobile is moving. Who will he decide on?
