Fans of EastEnders believe they have the answer to who will perish in the impending fire. They have a fascinating notion, and let’s just say they could be right.
It was announced earlier this year that a fatal fire would engulf Kathy’s Cafe, demolishing the famous Albert Square building and putting many lives in peril.
Fans are now sure that Theo will die, for one very convincing reason in particular, despite early rumors that Karen Taylor (Lorraine Stanley), who is slated to depart the program, will tragically die. The scenes in question, which will broadcast in the fall, will be impossible to miss.
As fans are aware, Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner) has been terrorized by Theo for months, making her afraid to leave her house.
When Freddie (Bobby Brazier), having had learned that his father Graham Foster (Alex McSweeney) had sexually assaulted his mother Little Mo (Kacey Ainsworth), arrived home earlier this week, he was shocked to see stalker Theo attempting to rape Stacey.
In an effort to defend her, Freddie struck out at Theo in scenes that had uncanny similarities to the infamous Little Mo confrontation in which she used an iron to fight her abuser Trevor Morgan (Alex Fern).

Future scenes will reveal Freddie’s destiny as well as Theo’s, but even if Theo survives the attack, many believe he’s still on thin ice and will ultimately perish in the fire, indicating that EastEnders will continue to parallel Little Mo’s tragedy in Stacey’s arc.
As fans will remember, Trevor died in a fire.
Theo, a guy who has made it his goal to destroy Stacey in the same way that Trevor destroyed Little Mo all those years ago, might perish in the flames of the impending café fire.
One admirer on X, now known as Twitter, wrote: “So intriguing looking back at the fire of Halloween 2002 and the fire that killed Trevor and putting Little Mo free from her tormentor.”
Isn’t it intriguing how Eastenders may mirror this by having a character who has also been abusive die or be injured in the future fire?
‘I feel like they’re going to take the comparisons to the next level and really murder theo off in the café fire as they did with trevor,’ another person said, expressing a similar opinion.
One admirer even went so far as to predict that Theo would burn down the café, just as Trevor had done with the home where he perished.
Will this, however, ultimately turn out to be the case?
Will the fatal fire at Kathy’s be Theo’s final defense? Or will he remain alive until Christmas, when he will pass away and become known as the Christmas corpse?
Monday through Thursday at 7:30 p.m. on BBC One and BBC iPlayer, EastEnders airs.
