We couldn’t be happier to see the Coronation Street cast back together to celebrate Charlie Lawson’s wedding.

In a recent wedding overseen by Eamonn Holmes, Charlie, who portrayed Jim McDonald in the ITV soap opera, tied the knot with his companion Debbie after 22 years of marriage.

Many Corrie actors from the past and present were there, including Carla Barlow actress Alison King, who served as Debbie’s bridesmaid.

Simon Gregson, who played Steve McDonald, accompanied her. He filled in for Neil Morrissey, Charlie’s original best man, who had to withdraw owing to business obligations.

Simon and Alison met up with Michelle Connor’s on-screen ex-wife and closest friend, actress Kym Marsh, who dazzled the audience with a karaoke performance of Pure and Simple, the band Hear’say popular song from her earlier days.

Fans went absolutely crazy when Alison and Kym posed for a photo together for Kym’s Instagram.

Claire King, who portrays Kim Tate in Emmerdale but previously spent time as Erica Holroyd in Coronation Street, was also present from the soap opera world.

Debbie’s costume for her big day was inspired by Kim Tate’s wedding gown from 2022, and Claire had given her the contact information for the seamstress.

Vicky Entwhistle, who portrayed Janice Battersby on the program, joined the Corrie stars.

Charlie stated to OK! Magazine that they deliberated about who to invite for a very long time when it came to the celebrity guests.

“Having those folks there who came was fantastic.” For as long as we can remember, Alison King has remained fiercely devoted to us. Simon Gregson and Claire King are people we have known for a very long time each. Likewise, I’ve known Eamonn Holmes for a very long time.

You can’t invite everyone, I repeat. Additionally, you need to be careful who you choose since not everyone I know from that world gets along. I won’t mention names. So, as you may imagine, choosing who to invite was quite tough.

Charlie and Debbie were disappointed that several of their favorite visitors couldn’t attend their special day.

Beverley Callard, Sarah Lancashire, and Bill Roache were all unable to attend. Although it is unfortunate that they couldn’t attend, everyone has obligations, whether they be work-related or not.
