Sacha Parkinson, a former cast member of Coronation Street, has announced her engagement to John.
Parkinson uploaded a photo of the couple with their engagement ring prominently displayed on Instagram to inform her fans of the news.
The actress quoted a line from Friends in the post, saying, “I knew you were likely to take a wife!” She continued by adding “SCREAMING” and the date, October 11, of the proposition.

Four photos made up the post, including one of the newly engaged pair standing on the back of a boat at dusk and another showing the ring up close.
Family and friends have showered the actor, who is best known for playing Sian Powers in Corrie from 2009 to 2011, with affection in the post’s comments.
“Oh my goodness, that’s amazing. Congratulations,” said Sally Dynevor, a former castmate on Coronation Street, and Michelle Keegan, who added: “Awwww congratulations my sweetie! I’m really glad for you!”
Ryan Thomas just said, “Wowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww,” and Georgia May Foote added, “Omg Sacha! “, joining the slew of Corrie stars who also sent their well wishes. Congratulations, you lovely lady.

For over three years, Parkinson played a starring role in Coronation Street. She was a part of the first lesbian romance on the program with Sophie Webster, played by Brooke Vincent, according to her storylines. In December 2011, Sian left the street after learning Sophie wasn’t in love with her.
The serial killer narrative was resolved in recent episodes of the soap opera, with Stephen’s reign of terror coming to an end when he was run over by Peter’s vehicle.
