When Bethany Platt (Lucy Fallon) comes to Coronation Street, Charlotte Jordan has been hinting at what Daisy Midgeley, a character on the show, would experience.
In 2020, Bethany left the cobblestones. She made the decision to follow her heart and go to London for a new job, but doing so meant parting ways with the man she had fallen for, Daniel (Rob Mallard).
Following the passing of Daniel’s cancer-stricken wife Sinead (Katie McGlynn), the romance began to take shape. Although Bethany had real affections for Daniel, he was struggling to control his emotions as a result of losing Sinead. At one point, after waking up from a nap, he even referred to Bethany as his wife.
Following the fall of Stephen Reid (Todd Boyce), Bethany will make her reappearance. Charlotte Jordan indicated that although she would undoubtedly be entangled in the Platt family conflict, her previous love for Daniel might be about to resurface:
She told Inside Soap, “I anticipate there will be another love triangle!”
“Lucy and I chatted at the Inside Soap Awards, and we’re both excited to work together.” I’m hoping Daisy and Bethany disagree before something happens to bring them together. It would be wonderful if Daisy could have a pal.

In further ITV soap opera episodes, Daisy and Ryan (Ryan Prescott) would share a bed.
Daisy is aware that what she is doing with Ryan is wrong, but Charlotte recently told us that Daisy just can’t seem to control herself in the moment: “She knows what’s right and she knows what’s wrong, she’s tried to put distance between them, but once she’s in a private space with Ryan, it all seems to go out of the window and she totally follows her heart and lives to regret it every time.”
But she seems powerless to stop herself. When she is alone herself with him, they are bound together by their shared pain and the fact that no one else can relate to what they have through.
