After being assaulted and left for dead by Stephen Reid (Todd Boyce) on Coronation Street, Tim Metcalfe (Joe Duttine) is still alive.

Stephen’s reign came to an end in the ITV soap opera’s episode from last Friday (October 13), when Peter Barlow (Chris Gascoyne) ran into him and killed him.

Sally Metcalfe (Sally Dynevor) and Elaine Jones (Paula Wilcox) were still desperately looking for information on Tim’s whereabouts as the Weatherfield residents tried to comprehend everything Stephen had done, including attacking Sarah Platt (Tina O’Brien) and holding Jenny Connor (Sally Ann Matthews) hostage.

After being severely battered by Stephen at the beginning of the week, Tim vanished. Stephen then placed an unconscious Tim in the boot of his car and made plans to set the car on fire.

Tim fumbled about in the episode from Monday (October 16), still entrapped, looking for a way out.

Fortunately, he used a screwdriver to unlock the boot, and he fell to the ground. Tim was in no way in a good mood; he had scrapes and bruises all over his face, had gone two nights without food or drink.

Tim finally made it inside, drank the meager quantity of water from a bottle in the glove box, and then used his radio to speak with the person on the other end of the line.

Peter, Sally, and Elaine went to the station to speak with DS Swain (Vicky Myers) when the radio cut out.

Peter punching Stephen came up once again in discussion while in the lobby. Peter said that he knew Stephen would die or Jenny would perish in the seconds before the incident.

Sally was anxious to learn more about Tim (ITV)

Peter said that the appropriate individual had passed away, unaware that DS Swain was listening in on the entire exchange. This provided Swain with sufficient evidence to charge Peter with murder.

He realized he had no choice but to begin trekking into the woods and hope he would eventually come across a road as the hunt for Tim continued elsewhere.

Thankfully, he did, and Tim yelled and hailed down the approaching automobile as soon as he spotted it. Tim was eventually reunited with Sally after being taken to the hospital.

Even though Tim’s struggle may be finished for the time being, what long-term effects will this have on him?
