Catherine Tyldesley, a former cast member of Coronation Street, paid homage to her friend and fellow cast member Shayne Ward in a heartfelt statement on social media.
Cath is most known for her role as Eva Price in the ITV soap opera, a role she shared with Shayne’s Aidan Connor.
Over the years, the two characters were embroiled in a number of tragic plotlines, but regrettably, everything came to an end when Aidan took his own life in 2018.
Outside of Corrie, Catherine and Shayne have been collaborating once more on a drama for Channel 5.
In The Good Ship Murder, Jack Grayling, a former police investigator, embarks aboard a cruise ship in the Mediterranean to pursue his desire to sing in a cabaret.
Jack, however, is obliged to cooperate with First Officer Kate Woods (Catherine) as they investigate a series of murders, each set against a different coastal area where the ship would pitch anchor. This forces Jack to forsake his old existence on solid ground.
Recently, Catherine assisted in Shayne’s birthday celebration and shared photos from their time on Corrie, while filming the Channel 5 drama, and their social gatherings on Instagram.

Catherine remarked, “Happy Birthday to this amazing star!!!”
“The second video… (name the movie!) could be my favorite memory ever,” One of the sweetest, funniest, humblest, and most gifted people you could ever want to meet! I’m very fortunate to call @shaynetward my buddy.
“I appreciate you making me chuckle every day! Thank you for constantly doing Disney skits upon request and for acting as our collective human karaoke machine whenever we need to shout out a song! Have a wonderful time! Many blessings and life jackets xx’.

In another incident from August, West Yorkshire’s The Three Little Birds bakery was the subject of a social media controversy that centered on Catherine.
In exchange for “social media exposure,” an email was sent to the bakery owner requesting a lot of cakes for the soap star’s 40th birthday.
The company’s owner, Rebecca Severs, denied the offer via email and stated in her answer that her employees “can’t feed their kids with visibility on Instagram.”
Later, the celebrity in question was revealed to be Catherine. She called the situation “utterly weird” at the time and said that the event organizers had “been absolutely misled in this” on social media.
