Fans of the ITV soap opera Coronation Street are outraged after learning of yet another schedule change.
In September, instead of the traditional Monday, Wednesday, and Friday timeslots, Coronation Street aired on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday.
This is as a result of ITV’s coverage of the Rugby World Cup.
The broadcast schedule for Coronation Street returned to normal the week of October 9, though, for Super Soap Week, which culminated with Peter Barlow (Chris Gascoyne) being held accountable for Stephen Reid’s (Todd Boyce) death after running him over with his vehicle.
Sadly, we are in for further alterations this week as Friday’s instalment will air tonight (October 18), due to coverage for the Argentina v New Zealand game beginning at 7:30pm.

Recently, fans vented their annoyance on social media, stating things like, “Fridays are dreadful without Corrie,” and “Oh not again!!!” By now, the bloody rugby must be over. One more useless Friday night TV. Not everyone has Netflix, etc.
On October 28, the Rugby World Cup will come to a finish, which means Corrie and Emmerdale may see more changes for at least another week.
In the wake of Super Soap Week thus far, Peter has been detained for the murder of Stephen, Tim (Joe Duttine), who was trapped in his taxi’s boot for two nights, has been discovered alive, and Jenny (Sally Ann Matthews), who came perilously close to leaving the cobblestones and beginning a new life with her murderous partner, is on a healing journey.
Other places, Daisy (Charlotte Jordan) advised Ryan (Ryan Prescott) to forget that they shared a bed, but it will be easier said than done because Lauren (Cait Fitton) would use the buddies as bargaining chips, promising to maintain their secret if they give her money.
