Spoilers for this Wednesday’s (October 25) episode of EastEnders are available on BBC iPlayer. The episode hasn’t yet aired on television.

It appears that a popular character on EastEnders has passed away in dramatic moments where Tony Clay’s character Callum Highway revealed some heartbreaking news.

When Callum’s next-of-kin Lola passed away, Gina Knight (Francesca Henry), who was searching for Jay Brown’s (Jamie Borthwick) family, introduced him to Ben and Billy Mitchell (Max Bowden and Perry Fenwick) as well as other police officers.

Before long, they brought Callum outside to break the terrible news that there had been a catastrophic accident. He then told the family what he had heard.

This happened after a trying day for Jay, during which he had to go through Lola’s clothes and ended up using drugs once more.

Ben, who was upset and worried that his closest buddy may be dead, discovered him comatose on the sofa.

A major disagreement broke out as Jay turned around, and Billy expressed his disgust in no uncertain terms.

When things reached their breaking point, Jay got up to go and picked up the urn carrying Lola’s ashes, but Billy wouldn’t allow him take them.

The two’s altercation quickly turned tragic as Lola’s ashes scattered throughout the apartment’s floor, leaving poor Lexi Pearce (Isabella Brown) distraught.

Billy and Ben finally had enough and requested that Jay go. Gina was the only one remaining who was eager to support Jay throughout his ordeal, so she quickly followed him out of the apartment.

Gina realized that he was going to drive to Margate, the place where he and Lola had spent their last day together, and she made a vow to take him there as soon as she got her coat and luggage out of the Vic.

Jay, on the other hand, was impatient and quickly left in the car by himself.

Jay’s drive quickly ended in tragedy while he was high on ketamine; shortly after, the police showed up in Albert Square to inform Jay’s loved ones of what had happened.

Will Jay survive the ordeal?
