Spoilers for EastEnders for next week’s major happenings are shown in the weekly photo gallery above.
As viewers are aware, Rocky Cotton (Brian Conley) owes Nish Panesar (Navin Chowdhry) money and is having difficulty raising the money to reimburse the villain.
The former con artist is also struggling with an addiction to gambling, which has caused him to have severe financial problems.
Next episode, as his problems worsen, he intends to burn down the café and file an insurance claim when Sonia Fowler (Natalie Cassidy) makes a casual remark!
As Rocky arrives in Walford East for a romantic meal, Kathy Beale (Gillian Taylforth) is waiting for him. Rocky follows through on his plan, setting fire to the café after another spell of suspect electrics.
When Bobby Beale (Clay Milner Russell) sees the fire while out and about, he tries to put it out, but it explodes, knocking him out and locking him within.
Bobby, will you die?
Will Rocky too escape punishment for his horrible crime? And what will Kathy do when she discovers the condition of her cherished cafe?
Away from the fire drama, Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean) confides in Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) about the £50,000 ransom letter, and the hard-man agrees to give her the money. Albie Watts is still missing, and the people of Walford join the hunt.
Karen Taylor (Lorraine Stanley) begs Sharon to let her handle the money drop, but Phil is adamant that he do it himself. Sharon ultimately chooses the latter course of action.
Karen tries to seem normal as she meets with Kandice’s husband Malcolm to get Albie, fearing that she would reveal her cover. But will their crimes go unpunished for Karen and Keanu?
Isn’t that where it’s all beginning in the Square?
