Here are some spoilers for this Thursday’s (November 9) EastEnders episode, which can be viewed on BBC iPlayer right now.
Rocky Cotton (Brian Conley), who put several lives in jeopardy when he started a fire at Kathy’s cafe, will have to give a lot of explanations.
The con artist, who is battling an addiction to gambling, made the decision to set fire to Kathy Beale’s (Gillian Taylforth) business with the intention of obtaining an insurance claim.
Rocky intentionally caused a fire before leaving to meet Kathy in Walford East for dinner because he was confident that no one would suspect arson because the café had been plagued by malfunctioning electrics for the previous few weeks.
He did not, however, anticipate that Bobby would be for a stroll when he would notice the fire through the window.
The young man entered the café, terrified by the sight of the fire, and quickly reached for a fire extinguisher, attempting to put out the flames.
However, a second explosion tore through the structure, lighting up Bridge Street and putting Bobby in grave danger. Rocky and Kathy were alerted to the fire and quickly took action.
In the meantime, Rocky and Peter (Thomas Law) hurried to Bobby’s rescue, trying to save his life by going inside the cafe. But the pair found themselves confined, and Rocky passed out as a result.
Soon after the firemen arrived, Rocky went back to the hospital and became aware.
At the end of the episode, a devastated Kathy tells her husband that her grandkids are battling for their life. Bobby and Peter, on the other hand, are both in a poor situation.
Will Peter and Bobby be alright? In addition, will Rocky’s actions be discovered? Is it just a matter of time till his transgressions are revealed?
And will the con man’s debt to Nish Panesar (Navin Chowdhry) be pursued by him?
Monday through Thursday at 7:30 p.m. on BBC One and BBC iPlayer is when EastEnders airs.
