In Coronation Street, Nina Lucas (Mollie Gallagher) has been hiding something significant from her lover Asha Alahan (Tanisha Gorey). This secret will be revealed in subsequent moments.
Asha’s new paramedic training course has kept her busy, so she hasn’t been able to attend family gatherings. One particularly memorable one saw Courtney Vance (Stephanie Davis) break up with Aadi Alahan (Adam Hussain) by having her husband Darren (Ryan Early) come fetch her belongings.
While Courtney was employed by Darren, he and Aadi had an affair and quickly realized they were inseparable.
Darren lost it when he saw what had been happening right in front of him and told Courtney to go out.
Courtney realized she couldn’t last much longer and wanted Aadi to have the opportunity to succeed on his own without her. After the exciting confrontation, Courtney and Aadi moved into their own apartment. However, she realized that a life of luxury was hers to take with Darren.
Heartbroken by her abrupt change of heart, Aadi vowed Nina to secrecy about the entire situation, embarrassed to confront his family’s condescending demeanor.
Asha and Nina will make their first mistake when they go to the Chariot Square hotel for cocktails in later scenes. At the Chariot Square hotel, nothing positive ever occurs!
Unaware of the events that have transpired, Asha feels that Courtney is cheating on Aadi when she unexpectedly discovers Courtney and Darren together as they are enjoying their evening together.
Without giving Nina a chance to explain, Asha quickly gets up and confronts her, giving Courtney a hard time.
To Asha’s dismay, Nina eventually explains that Courtney and Aadi broke up a few weeks prior.
Asha’s anger at her lover for hiding secrets is quickly apparent.
Asha is happy that Courtney is no longer in the Alahan family, while Tanisha Gorey, who has liked working with Stephanie Davis on the narrative, is not as happy with the development.
“She gives such wonderful tales and is a pleasure to work with!” [Giggles] She is very wonderful. As for me, I would adore collaborating with her once more.
“Obviously, we have no idea what will transpire or what’s going on with Courtney, but Steph was incredible, and I would love to work with her again.”
