Actress Martine McCutcheon, a former EastEnder, disclosed that she is taking a leave of absence to prioritize her health and well-being.
The actress from the soap opera, best known for her role as Tiffany Mitchell in 1995–1998; she expressed her regret to her Instagram followers for her social media quiet.
Greetings!’ she wrote alongside a photo of herself and her husband Jack McManus. I haven’t spent much time here. However, it was much needed to take a break from social media and work. It changed my life, actually. Since I was a young child, I have scheduled dates for work (and the pressure that entails) in my calendar. I’ve never taken a legitimate leave of absence from my job.
I feel like I’ve let out the biggest sigh, having taken that time off for myself and my health after working in this field since I was a toddler! Too many of us associate our success or identity with our work. or what we do for a living. It’s alright.
But there’s so much more to us than that, she said. My definition of happiness and success is constantly changing along with me. It has been so freeing to discover who I am in who I am now rather than who I am!
Martine said, “If you insist on running, life has a funny way of making you stop.” Decide to look after yourself, then. Prior to it being removed from your control. Coming up is an exciting and busy time of year! I’m therefore gaining momentum. Getting everything ready! Today, she went for a leisurely stroll with her spouse, Jack. I’m cuddling up to watch TV right now while the candles are lit.
This comes after Martine revealed that she was diagnosed with myalgic encephalomyelitis (ME), commonly referred to as chronic fatigue syndrome, in 2011 and that she also received a Lyme disease diagnosis six years later. She has fibromyalgia as well. The actress has a variety of incapacitating symptoms as a result of these conditions.
The symptoms of fibromyalgia include fatigue, sleep issues, pain throughout the body, and frequently emotional and mental anguish.
Extreme fatigue is one of the many symptoms of chronic fatigue syndrome, whereas tick bites from infected ticks transmit a bacterial infection known as Lyme disease. Fatigue, aches, and lack of energy are some of the symptoms.
