Aaron and Cain Dingle are set up for a major physical fight scene in Emmerdale.

Aaron and Cain Dingle are set to engage in a “really brutal” fight on Emmerdale.

Producer Laura Shaw of the soap opera provides this information. She discussed the drama that will premiere at the beginning of the year with reporters and other media.

“I think it’s safe to say that Aaron and Cain are not getting along very well at all right now,” she started.

“We’re going to witness some strain between those two, which will culminate in a vicious altercation between Cain and Aaron in the New Year.

Which of those will win out in the end? Who will prevail in this fight? Shaw continued to hint, “We’ll have to wait and see if both of them come out still standing.

After it was discovered in October that Aaron was Cain and Caleb Milligan’s prisoner at Wylie’s Farm, the two alpha Dingles have been at odds lately.

Since 2008, Danny Miller, who has portrayed Aaron, has talked about the character’s surprising return and what that might mean moving forward.

“I recently read fresh scripts, and it continues along that darker arc,” he said.

“We’re keen to keep that because we don’t have that kind of character—someone who’s looking for a fight, someone who winds people up, and someone who has these clever comebacks and lines,” Laura and [executive producer Jane Hudson] said.

“I think it’s a pretty good play because Aaron always says such insightful things. It’s enjoyable to portray that role, and perhaps in the future he’ll revert to a version of his former self.”

Weeknights at 7.30 p.m., ITV1 and ITVX stream Emmerdale.
