Paula Lane’s first appearance in her brand-new role on the ITV soap opera Emmerdale has been shared.
The actress, who previously starred in Coronation Street, will portray Ella Forster, a kind and sympathetic character who is about to face hardships.
At a veterinary ball Ella is attending with her partner Paddy Kirk (Dominic Brunt), she will run into Mandy Dingle (Lisa Riley). Ella will lose her job as a result of standing up for the salon owner.
Ella, determined not to give up, soon meets Rebecca Sarker’s character, Manpreet Sharma, by coincidence and accepts an opportunity.
Actress Paula Lane expressed her excitement about her new role by saying, “I’m so excited to be joining the cast of Emmerdale.” I’m excited to begin a new chapter as Ella because everyone has been so welcoming.
I’m excited to watch her adjust to a new life in the village and, hopefully, make some friends. I’ve heard there are big plans for her.
The Emmerdale Instagram account recently revealed a little glimpse into Paula’s filming for the show and the appearance of her new character.
Paula can be seen in the video wearing pink scrubs with the brand “Bargain Vets” on them.
Greetings, says the actress. This is my first day on Emmerdale; my name is Paula Lane.
She continues, “I’m just about to walk on set, I’m a little bit nervous but, I know all my lines, it’s going to be good,” expressing her feelings prior to arriving on set.
We are eager to witness her in action!
Paula is most known for her role as Coronation Street’s Kylie Platt, who tragically passed away in 2016 after being stabbed in the arms of her husband David (Jack P Shepherd).
Paula has appeared in Call the Midwife and Father Brown since leaving.
