Here are some spoilers for this Wednesday’s (November 29) episode of EastEnders, which you can watch online at BBC iPlayer.
The video showed Nish Panesar (Navin Chowhdry)’s wife Suki Panesar (Balvinder Sopal) kissing her girlfriend Eve Unwin (Heather Peace) passionately left him completely stunned.
He made the finding while searching the Minute Mart’s CCTV for Priya Nandra-Hart (Sophie Khan Levy), whom he suspected of stealing from the register.
The grandfather, unable to comprehend what he had seen, lost his temper and threw his rage at the store, causing such destruction that he cut his hand seriously.
When Ravi Gulati (Aaron Thiara) happened upon his father, he saw right away by the expression in his eye that something was wrong. In an attempt to console his father, the worried son drove him to Walford East and inquired as to what was wrong.
Even though Ravi was first hesitant, Nish eventually opened up, and he was shocked to learn about Eve and Suki. Nish was certain that it was an isolated incident, and he decided to kill Eve because he thought she had “corrupted” Suki.
Before acting so hastily, Nish should go back home and confront Suki about the reality, Ravi advised him.
Nish followed instructions, but when he discovered Suki’s phone on the kitchen table, he read her text exchange with Eve. Enraged, he contacted the lawyer from the phone, asking Eve to get together right away.
Eve hurried to Walford East, fearing Suki was in danger, but Nish confronted her and told her he knew the truth, putting her own life in grave jeopardy.
Weary of the pretense, Eve confided in him everything, saying that she and Suki have been dating for more than a year and that they are deeply in love. Nish expressed her disgust and chastised her for it, saying Suki adores him.
Eve quickly corrected him, reminding him that Suki was not under his authority and that she should be allowed to have a free life.
Eve left the house after receiving a text from Suki telling her to meet at the station, but before she could get outside, Nish struck her in the head with a bottle, rendering her unconscious.
When Ravi arrived to the restaurant after being called, he was shocked to discover Eve’s lifeless body. While Nish acknowledged that Eve was still alive, at least for the time being, he insisted that Ravi murder Eve and assist him in getting rid of her body.
Is Eve’s time on this earth? Will the story of her and Suki finish happily? Or has Nish, by reliving the past, destroyed any chance of such a thing?
