In a recent episode of EastEnders, Jack Branning (Scott Maslen) was taken speechless when Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner) acknowledged that she had put the wrench on Theo Hawthorne (William Ellis) in order to shield Freddie Slater (Bobby Brazier).
Watchers will recall that when Freddie saw Theo attempting to rape Stacey, he used an iron to assault him and save her.
Nevertheless, Stacey and Eve Unwin (Heather Peace) placed a firearm in Theo’s hand to make it appear as though Freddie had acted in self-defense since Freddie was afraid of going to jail for the attack.
After months of pursuing Stacey, Theo had previously broken into her home to show how deadly he was.
He was allowed to harass Stacey once more since the court was unable to issue a stalking protection order in spite of the overwhelming evidence against him.
Jack expressed shock at what Stacey was confessing to and disclosed that she had the potential to really harm a great deal of people.
He clarified that if he said nothing, she and Eve may wind up back in jail, he might lose his job, and the case against Theo might collapse, allowing him to go free.
Stacey said that he was unable of comprehending what they were going through at that precise moment and that if he had seen Freddie, he would have known why they had acted as they did.
Jack decided to protect Stacey’s secret despite the dangers, stating that no one needed to know the truth.
He made it very evident that although Stacey had acted improperly, she had done so for the correct reasons in light of the potential consequences had Freddie not stepped in.
Is Jack willing to protect Stacey’s secret, or has Freddie managed to get away with it?
