When Denise Fox (Diane Parish) arrives home and discovers Jack Branning’s (Scott Maslen) ex is residing with them, she becomes unhappy in EastEnders.
Since Denise has been on vacation for a few weeks, she hasn’t been present when Sam Mitchell (Kim Medcalf) and Dean Wicks (Matt Di Angelo) returned.
Jack has been spending a lot of time with Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner) while he’s been on his own. In forthcoming episodes, they will reunite when Jack asks her to assist with babysitting.
When Denise gets home the next week, she is eager to hear about the rumors around the Walfords. However, she interrupts Jack before he can say that Sam is living with them, which makes Denise angry.
Jack then goes on the charm offensive in an attempt to win Denise around to his way of thinking about the Sam fiasco, but when Denise finds out that Dean has returned and Jack hasn’t told her, the pair starts to argue again.
Later, after receiving encouragement from Stacey, Jack goes back to the home and finds Denise furious, threatening to move out herself if Sam doesn’t.
Nearing the end of the week, Sam confides in Jack that she knows she can’t remain and acknowledges Denise’s goodness in that few others would have taken on his problematic kids.
Jack notices Ravi Gulati (Aaron Thiara) sulking at Denise just as he is about to show Sam off.
Though they are obviously uncomfortable with one another, the pair is able to get back together. What does this mean for their future together?
