Fans of Coronation Street are reminiscing about the 25 years Alan Halsall has been playing Tyrone Dobbs.

Alan, 41, has been a cast member of Corrie since 1998. He plays Tyrone Dobbs, a mechanic and the grandson of Evelyn Plummer, played by Maureen Lipman.

Additionally, he celebrated the 25 years since the first premiere of his character yesterday.

The actor wrote on Instagram after posting a number of old photos, “Wow!!

This exact night, 25 years ago, at 7:30 p.m., I watched myself on Coronation Street for the very first time.

“They say that time flies while you’re having fun, and in this case, it definitely does!”

I still enjoy my job as much now as I did when I started 25 years ago ? Being a little part of this exhibition makes me really proud.

David Platt’s actor Jack P. Shepherd retorted, saying, “Massive mate.”

“Alan is great 4eva,” actress Samia Longchambon (Maria Connor) said.

Alan was previously wed to 40-year-old Lucy-Jo Hudson, a former Coronation Street actress who starred in the serial opera from 2002 until 2005.

Four years after being married in 2009, the couple had their kid. 2018 saw their divorce.

Actress Tisha Merry, who portrayed Steph Britton on Corrie from 2013 to 2018, and the actor are currently dating. In 2019, the pair revealed their romance to the public.

In other news, Tyrone recently went through a trying and emotional period after meeting Cassie Plummer (Claire Sweeney), his biological mother who is a recovering drug user.

Tyrone had been under the impression for the most part of his childhood that his mother had passed away. So when Evelyn Plummer (Maureen Lipman) and Cassie returned to the cobblestones, Tyrone was taken aback to learn that Evelyn had been aware of Cassie’s location for more than a year.
