In order to prepare for her impending departure from EastEnders, Lorraine Stanley sought out to a former coworker.
After finding out that her character will be written out of the BBC One soap opera, the actress—who has been playing Karen for six years—previously disclosed that she went through a “mix of emotions.”
But as seen by her most recent Instagram photo, Lorraine is already considering her life beyond Albert Square.
As she got ready to self-tape a fresh audition footage to send with the help of her former on-screen son Zack Morris (Keegan Baker), she posted a photo of her own audition room, replete with panels, lights, a tripod, and a chair.
“I’m so not technical, but I’m glad I managed to put it up all by myself with guidance on equipment from @_zack_morris,” the woman said in her post. “Self tape setup in the loft.”
I just finished one, and it took a lot of labor. I’ll arrive. It’s difficult to look in the mirror and not be too hard on oneself. Simply let it go and mark it as #SENT.
Not only did Zack, but Lorraine, an EastEnder, recently complimented co-star Gillian Wright, who plays Jean Slater, for a kind gift? I adore the cap that you, @therealgillianwright, crafted. It fits nicely and is so cozy and toasty,’ she said.
“I’m looking forward to my next chapter and enthusiastic about being a jobbing actor again & starting new enterprises,” Lorraine declared, expressing her excitement about her life after EastEnders.
She started a new exercise regimen, so it appears that she is making efforts to transition into that new life.
Lorraine, who works as a personal trainer with her friend Louise Appel, shared some pictures of herself on Instagram stories in gym gear, looking toned and healthy, which is a far cry from her shabby identity Karen.
“I’m feeling amazing!” She wrote, “#fitat40something #weighttrainingforwomen #igotthis” as a caption for the photos.
