Star of Coronation Street Jane Hazlegrove alerted her Instagram followers to a phony account with a serious message.
The 55-year-old actress Bernie Winter warned her followers that someone was posing as her in an attempt to steal money from the admirers of the soap opera star.
“Someone is posing as me via a phony account and is requesting money,” the woman wrote. I would never do this, so if you see it, please let me know. I am grateful, Jane.
Following the incident, fans quickly posted their thoughts. One user, kirstyjane3006, said, “What is happening with people?!?” I hope Instagram takes care of this right now!
“I got a request to follow and be followed by it yesterday, but I felt the photographs were false,” Mrs. Sandy Pants said.
Having spent a year on the cobbles in the 1980s as adolescent Sue Clayton, Jane returned to the soap in 2019 as Bernie, the mother of twins Gemma Winter (Dolly-Rose Campbell) and Paul Foreman (Peter Ash).
Jane remembers, “They handed me a large card that everyone had signed, including all the legends, as I left the performance.” “Lucky Jane,” Barbara Knox had written. Keep in mind that rovers never go away. She proved to be correct.
According to contemporary narratives, once her laptop swindle was discovered, Bernie was arrested for handling stolen goods and later found guilty of the offense.
The family was devastated by this, especially in light of Paul Foreman’s (Peter Ash) recent diagnosis.
Paul was just told that he only had six to twelve months to live after receiving a motor neurone disease diagnosis earlier this year.
To make this already horrific experience even more unbearable, Bernie’s attorney disclosed that due to her previous history, she may spend as much as six months in prison, which would prevent her from being present for Paul’s last moments.
