Four years after leaving Coronation Street, a legend completely changed into a different character

Tristan Gemmill of Coronation Street has had a significant makeover to play the part of Abanazar in the pantomime Aladdin.

The 56-year-old Robert Preston actor is portraying an animated magician, a part that clearly calls for a lot of time spent in the makeup chair judging by the star’s extremely sleek hairstyle.

Tristan posted a photo on Instagram with the caption, “First day of Panto #Aladdin #Blackburn.”

Numerous admirers and past co-stars left supportive comments on the page, complimenting him on both his amazing wicked performance and his obvious physical transformation.

Toyah Battersby’s actress Georgia Taylor responded, saying, “Devilishly gorgeous as always ???.”

James Redmond, a former Emmerdale actor who portrayed Rory Finnigan, merely said, “Cinderella?”

In 2019, Robert’s last scenes on Corrie aired.

Just in time for Christmas, Robert was slain off the Street in a slaughter caused by Derek Milligan (Craige Els), who lost control of his shotgun and went crazy.

Robert was shot by Derek through the front door glass of the bar, knocking him down as he was making his way to the Rovers Return.

He was holding onto a teddy bear as he approached the building on his way to greet his newborn baby.

Derek, however, panicked when he got to the entry and pointed the gun toward the door before pressing the trigger.

The proprietor of the cafe suddenly stumbled out of his seat and touched his chest, his hands drenched in blood.

“People, I just wanted to let you know that the time has come for me to hang up the chef’s gear and leave for pastures new,” Tristan tweeted after announcing his resignation.

Robert still has a lot of drama and hijinks ahead of him, but later in the year, I will be departing @itvcorrie.

Robert was involved in a very disorganized cheating plot at the end of the show, when he was continuously divided between Michelle Connor (Kym Marsh) and Vicky Jefferies (Kerri Quinn).
