Speaking up about the return of Coronation Street, Kimberly Hart-Simpson

On Coronation Street, Kimberly played Nicky (Picture: ITV).

In response to inquiries about the prospect of staying on Coronation Street, Kimberly Hart-Simpson stated that she would “love” to play Nicky Wheatley again.

As fans will remember, Nicky was first shown as a prostitute that Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard) grew close to after Sinead Tinker’s (Katie McGlynn) passing.

After her first appearance, the character started recurrent, and Daisy Midgeley (Charlotte Jordan), who was dating Daniel at the time, felt irritated when she was reintroduced as a teaching assistant at the school.

The last time the character was seen, she was being driven home from the police station by Peter Barlow (Chris Gascoyne) in his taxi.

Nicky has gained popularity among the show’s viewers, and we’re sure that many of them would be thrilled to see her return to the cobbles.

Kimberley stated, “I mean, I have returned,” while talking about the prospect of playing the same character again.

“I had an amazing experience there, but who knows what the future holds.”

Kimberly explained to fans that her narrative had concluded, not that she had departed Corrie, following the airing of her last appearance to date in July 2022.

You won’t know for sure what will happen in the future because there wasn’t a major farewell moment in Friday’s episodes, but I do know this. I owe Corrie so lot, and I like everything about it—the people, the atmosphere, and the street,” she remarked.

“Life is a series of chapters, and I am eager to read the next one.”

Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays at 8 p.m. on ITV1 and ITVX are when Coronation Street airs.
