In recent scenes on EastEnders, Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean) unleashed her iconic fire during a heated confrontation with the equally fiery Kat Slater (Jessie Wallace). The result was all over Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden), you guessed it.
After learning that Phil, not Keanu Taylor (Danny Walters), was Albie’s real father, Sharon had kept the information a secret.
But in more recent scenes, Sharon confided in her best friend Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) for the first time. However, she soon realized that she had gone off the wagon and regretted her choice to be vulnerable.
Subsequently, Sharon discovered Linda inebriated in the restrooms and extended assistance to her closest friend, who has experienced a very trying few months due to the reappearance of rapist Dean Wicks (Matt Di Angelo).
That’s when she eventually told Linda the whole truth—that Phil was Albie’s father—but she didn’t want to damage her friendship with her ex and her impending marriage to Keanu by disclosing this information.
Although Sharon was worried that Linda would get inebriated and reveal everything, it was really Sharon who revealed the secret, thus she didn’t really need to worry about the landlady.
She was startled to hear a toilet flush and saw Kat emerge theatrically from the camp stall as she was telling Linda that Phil had to never know.
Kat was not ready to lie to her husband since she felt that he should know for Albie’s sake, but Sharon was quick to pursue her into the Square and demanded that she keep what she heard to herself.
When the Slater matriarch was unmoved by Sharon’s pleading, she resorted to threats.
Cleverly, she hinted that Keanu would leave her if he found out, which would allow Phil to dump Kat and start a new life with Sharon and Albie.
Sharon cautioned Kat not to be so certain, despite her argument that Sharon and Phil were in the past and that his role as Albie’s father wouldn’t affect anything.
Will Kat tell Phil what she knows, or has Sharon contacted her enough times to make her remain quiet?
