Next week on EastEnders, Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) will demand answers from Dean Wicks (Matt Di Angelo) following a confrontation between the two caused by the heinous rapist’s horrific actions.
When Dean, the man who had sexually assaulted the Queen Vic landlady nine years prior, showed up in the Square on Halloween and declared his intention to stay, the landlady’s entire existence was flipped upside down.
Dean has admitted to attacking Linda during a confrontation in 2015, despite eluding prosecution for his crimes. However, since his return, he has maintained his innocence and is making a valiant effort to persuade everyone that Linda lied.
After a confrontation with George Knight (Colin Salmon), the rapist revealed his real colors once more when he ended up sliding down the stairs. In the events that followed, he used blackmail to force Linda to confess that he had not raped her, or else he would make sure George was put in jail.
Unaware that Dean was surreptitiously recording Linda’s phony confession, which he later played out loud at the Queen Vic saloon, Linda consented to give him what he needed.
Due to this tragedy and the fact that Mick (Danny Dyer) disappeared at sea a whole year ago, Linda, a recovered alcoholic, turned to drink for comfort and relapsed.
There is a great deal more to come, as Linda’s trauma is expected to worsen in the upcoming episodes, leading some to speculate that Dean may be the unidentified person that dies on Christmas Day.
In fact, the biggest surprise of all occurs the next week when the matriarch receives a text message.
Actress Kellie Bright said, “She believes she gets a text from Mick.” “It’s not Mick.
Which of the three guesses do you believe it is? Dean is here!
As fans will remember, Mick disappeared at sea last year while attempting to save Linda from the dangerous waters after a collision, not realizing she had already reached land safely.
The spiteful Dean’s actions knock Linda for six, and as these new photos show, the two have an explosive fight. Linda has been struggling to accept the truth that her cherished partner is gone for good.
“There’s a moment between the two of them, and the ending is actually different from what Linda anticipates from that talk,” actress Kellie hinted.
“And let’s just say that it puts her somewhere she doesn’t want to be.”
BBC One broadcasts EastEnders from Monday through Thursday at 7:30 p.m. Premiere episodes on BBC iPlayer starting at 6 a.m.
