The evening was spent assisting Matthew Wolfenden in his new career, which he took just weeks following his divorce from Charley Webb, the former star of Emmerdale.
In 2009, the 35-year-old woman accepted Matthew’s proposal, 43, after they first connected on the ITV soap opera set. The three kids that the soap opera actors share are Buster, 12, Bowie, 6, and Ace, 3. They are well-known for their roles as Debbie Dingle and David Metcalfe.
Charley and Matthew put up a unified face when they announced their split on Instagram back in November.
Matthew and I have chosen to part ways with love and respect. Our love for our kids is our top priority, and we will always be friends. We would want privacy at this time for their sake. Read Charley’s post.
While Matthew substituted his name for Charley’s in an almost identical piece that he submitted.
Charley recently shown her support for Matthew by taking their kids to see him perform in the musical Elf.
The actress posted a few photos of the evening on social media, including one of Charley and her kids in the vehicle and another of them inside the theater.
She commented, “Kids are loving life seeing their dad.”
“We have a very festive mood.”
At the end of last month, Matthew departed from his Emmerdale character, David.
The store owner made the decision to leave the Dales and go to London, where he now resides with his daughter Amba and her mother Priya Sharma (Fiona Wade).
David made his choice after finding out that his son Jacob Gallagher (Joe-Warren Plant) was seeing Victoria Sugden (Isabel Hodgins), David’s former girlfriend.
David couldn’t handle the deception after spending weeks thinking he would be reunited with Vic. He packed up and left without mending his connection with Jacob beforehand.
