It has been revealed that this week’s EastEnders schedule has altered, only days away from Christmas.
We’ll explain; it’s only a small change from what we’re used to. Don’t worry.
This week, when is EastEnders on?
Following the episode that aired yesterday, December 18, the following episode of the BBC One soap opera will not run until Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. The last two episodes of the week will air on Thursday and Friday at 7:30 p.m.
How come EastEnders isn’t on tonight?
The Sports Personality of the Year ceremony hosted by the BBC tonight will prevent the regular Tuesday show from airing.
BBC One will show it from 7-9 p.m., followed by the upcoming episode of Vigil.
What’s going on this week in EastEnders?
The drama will resume on Wednesday, with a focus on Suki (Balvinder Sopal), who is plotting Nish’s (Navin Chowdhry) retaliation for Eve’s (Heather Peace) abduction.
In another scene, after learning about Jack (Scott Maslen) and Stacey (Lacey Turner), Kim (Tameka Empson) will counsel Denise (Diane Parish), and Dean (Matt Di Angelo) will get a call from the hospital regarding Jade’s transplant.
What’s going on around Christmas in EastEnders?
Of course, The Six will be the center of attention over the holiday season.
A flash-forward scene that aired back in February revealed that The Six—Linda Carter (Kellie Bright), Suki, Kathy Beale (Gillian Taylforth), Stacey, Denise, and Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean)—would all be present when a dead corpse is discovered in the pub on Christmas Day.
We were depending on a pair of amber cufflinks as the only possible indication as to the identity of the victim, and we thought they may be the one about to meet their maker.
But this week, it became clear that Alfie (Shane Richie) would be trying to hawk a ton of those amber cufflinks when he showed up to Billy’s (Perry Fenwick) stand.
How very narrow-minded of me!
