Christmas episode confirmation for significant announcement on EastEnders

Not much time to wait! (Image: BBC)

Fans of EastEnders should take note of this, as we have some significant news to share before the holidays.

In the upcoming weeks, Albert Square has a lot to look forward to, but the much awaited murder is the biggest attraction.

We’ll soon find out how The Six got to be standing over a dead body in the Queen Vic, since that information is imminent.

Fans won’t have to worry about early spoilers, according to Radio Times, as the highly anticipated episode won’t be made available on BBC iPlayer at six in the morning.

Thus, this Monday at 9:45, everyone will be watching the Christmas special at the same time.

Fortunately, for those eager to witness the fallout on Boxing Day, there’s good news: the show will air on Tuesday, December 26 at 6 a.m

A flash-forward scene that aired back in February revealed that The Six—Linda Carter (Kellie Bright), Suki Panesar (Balvinder Sopal), Kathy Beale (Gillian Taylforth), Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner), Denise Fox (Diane Parish), and Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean)—will all be present when a dead body is discovered in the pub on Christmas Day.

We were depending on a pair of amber cufflinks as the only possible indication as to the identity of the victim, and we thought they may be the one about to meet their maker.

But this week, it became clear that Alfie (Shane Richie) would be trying to hawk a ton of those amber cufflinks when he showed up to Billy’s (Perry Fenwick) stand.

In the joyous episode, Sharon and Danny Walters’ ill-fated marriage is about to begin, but it is unavoidably doomed from the beginning.

In other scenes, Linda wishes to permanently cut off her relationship with rapist Dean Wicks (Matt Di Angelo), while Stacey deals with the fallout from her recent activities with Jack Branning (Scott Maslen).

But who will actually die?

Christmas Day, EastEnders airs on BBC One at 9:45 p.m.
