In EastEnders, Whitney Dean (Shona McGarty) is going to have a difficult Christmas since she is haunted by a horrible death.

She has been thrilled to welcome a kid in need of care into Whit and Zack Hudson’s (James Farrar) household ever since they were approved as foster parents, and Ashton is a bright spot in her life.

However, Zack will first have a tougher time connecting with the young man.

After their little Peach was diagnosed with Edwards syndrome and died, the couple went to foster care.

Zack was horrified when Whitney declared she couldn’t subject her body to another pregnancy after Peach’s untimely death.

Despite his undetectable viral load, he had still agonized with his HIV diagnosis and had hoped for another child.

Whitney, however, was adamantly opposed to it, and the couple even moved out of No. 1 into their own apartment in order to register to be foster parents.

Whit finds much-needed happiness in fostering Ashton, but as Christmas approaches, she must inform him that he is relocating to a new foster home.

At Peggy’s, Zack sobers up with Martin Fowler (James Bye), while Sonia Fowler (Natalie Cassidy) makes a fruitless attempt to lift Whitney’s spirits.

As Sonia struggles to accept Ashton’s move on the market, poor Whitney even gives her a picture of Ashton in his new house.

Whitney encounters Yolande Trueman (Angela Wynter), who discusses her own memories of fostering, while seeking comfort at Peach’s tree at the allotment.

Whitney returns to Number 3B to inform Zack of her significant choice following a heart-to-heart with Yolande, but what is it?

Could Whitney’s choice to leave the square in 2024 cause her to leave EastEnders, given that actress Shona McGarty resigned?
