For devoted EastEnders viewers like us, who have spent the past 10 months speculating about who will pass away in the Queen Vic tonight (December 25), it’s a big day, and it looks like we’re all going to be in for a major shock.
While we are giddy with anticipation and pondering whether it’s too soon for a bucks fizz, some cast members of EastEnders have already determined which man will “get what he deserves,” and we can’t help but be envious.
Since the flash forward episode debuted in February, actress Letitia Dean has been essential to this plot; it was Sharon Watts, one of her characters, who spoke the now-famous words, “He’s dead.”
The Six didn’t genuinely learn who they would be killing until the very last minute, and it appears that none of them anticipated the result, as Letitia stated that she was utterly “shocked.”
“Neither I nor I think any of us were expecting it!” I’m eager to watch it unfold because I know the audience will find it hilarious. It was easier, though, to remain ignorant because I’m now afraid to speak for fear of saying something inappropriate!
Letitia acknowledged that some of the fan hypotheses on social media had altered her opinion. The Six, like the viewers, were left to speculate over who might have killed and who might be dead.
It’s been excellent. We’re all ecstatic about the response, and reading through all of the theories is a lot of fun. Over the course of the year, I have even changed my opinion about a few of them!
Over the years, Sharon has been a part of some really large Christmas Day tales, but Letitia thinks this is one of her best.
I’ve been a part of a lot of amazing Christmas tales, but this one ranks very high in my opinion. But given her past performance, I’m shocked Sharon doesn’t skip the holiday entirely at this point! She chuckled.
Being a part of a major story is always exciting, but it has been amazing to be a part of something that has lasted for almost a year with Sharon and the other five. We’re all so thrilled to be a part of it, and I love and adore each and every one of them.
What can we anticipate from this year’s Christmas Day show now that the big revelation is only a few hours away?
“There will undoubtedly be a shock factor, a ton of drama, and tension for viewers to deal with.”
