After nearly 13 years on Coronation Street, Lisa George, a star of the program, is allegedly planning to depart her role as Beth Tinker.

Since making her big screen debut in 2011, Beth has been a part of several major plots, and her romance with Andy Whyment’s character Kirk Sutherland has won over many admirers.

After the visit of her ex-boyfriend Marco, which led to a temporary breakup for the cherished pair, Beth has had a difficult year.

Now that The Sun is reporting that Lisa George will be leaving her role as Beth, their future appears to be in doubt once more.

A insider told the publication, “Lisa has been on Corrie for a long time and she’s had some terrific stories.”

With her comedic moments, she has solidified her place in the hearts of fans, but her tragic storylines, such as Sinead’s passing, have left viewers in tears.

“She believes that it’s time to move on and take on new challenges, even though she loves Corrie with all of her heart.”

According to reports, Lisa is still in the filming process. Her last scenes are scheduled to premiere in the summer of 2024, and Beth’s leaving will supposedly be “as theatrical as she is.”

has requested a statement from Coronation Street.

This announcement follows rumors that actor Alex Bain, who played Simon Barlow, would also be leaving the program after 15 years due to a dramatic car collision incident, which surfaced a few days ago.

Fans witnessed Peter Barlow (Chris Gascoyne) leave Weatherfield and his family on an international sailing voyage over the Christmas break.
