In EastEnders, Suki Panesar (Balvinder Sopal) made a significant choice when she courageously came out to her neighbors, family, and friends, confirming rumors that she was seeing Eve Unwin (Heather Peace).
After helping five other women cover up Keanu Taylor’s (Danny Walters) death, the matriarch had a lot on her mind. However, because Nugget (Juhaim Rasul Choudhury) was posing questions, she felt it was time to come clean.
Suki spoke in Nugget about her connection with Eve in poignant passages. She was surprised at how nicely he handled the news. What hurt him was not the reality about their relationship, but rather the fact that she was prepared to pack sticks and leave.
When Eve asked Suki for an update in the Minute Mart, Suki disclosed that she had confided in Nugget.
When Nugget returned, she was much more supportive than before. However, Kim Fox (Tameka Empson) overheard their chat and later told her family about Suki and Eve’s friendship.
In the moments that followed, speculation ran rampant as everyone conversed inside the Vic. Satisfied with the rumors, Suki boldly went over to her neighbors and clasped Eve’s hand to establish their friendship.
But when the matriarch was called to the Vic’s barrel shop for the second occasion in that particular episode, Kathy Beale (Gillian Taylforth) confirmed that Rocky Cotton (Brian Conley) is likely to become a liability, so she quickly had other things on her mind.
As fans are aware, on Christmas night, Rocky saw Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean) go into the cafe. Additionally, he witnessed Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner) and Denise Fox (Diane Parish) sprinting across the Square while holding tarpaulins.
Will Rocky’s interference force The Six to answer difficult questions from the police considering that they covered up a murder on the relevant evening?
Or will Kathy have to make the unsettling decision to make sure Rocky stays out of this?
On Friday, December 29 at 7:30 p.m., EastEnders airs on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
